Cancellation Policy. Your full fee will be refunded up to 72 hours before the workshop if you cancel. Between 72 hours and the day of the workshop you will receive a refund of your fee minus a $75 cancellation fee. If you do not show up for the workshop you will not receive a refund.

Workshop Hours
We start at 9 a.m. and go to 7 p.m. There will be a snack break in the morning, a lunch break from about 1:30 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. and a break in the afternoon. Why such long hours? Since I'm only going to be in each city for just one day I decided to pack in as much hands-on skill building as possible. I promise the day will go quickly and you'll be actively engaged the whole time. IN the evening we'll hold "Hot Seats."

Hot Seats
These are individual marketing coaching sessions conducted in front of the whole workshop, and will be held from 7:30 p.m. to 10 p.m. You are welcome to attend these sessions, and it's OK if you don't.

Workshop space is limited
Attendance will be limited to 60 participants. Once the 60 spaces are filled we will not open up more space. I've learned from experience that a smaller workshops provides more value and gives the opportunity for increased interaction and networking.

Q - Who is Robert Middleton and why is he qualified to teach this workshop?

A - Robert Middleton has been working with Independent Professions on their marketing for over 23 years. He has consulted, coached and trained thousands of people. In addition, Robert has designed dozens of business identities and web sites. He has hands-on experience in every aspect of marketing a professional service business. Robert's is the author of the online bestseller, the InfoGuru Marketing Manual and his weekly eZine goes out to about 50,000 people each week.

Robert's greatest strength is teaching and communicating these marketing principles to Independent Professionals. His workshops are stimulating, involving and fun.

Q - Do you cover information that's covered in the InfoGuru Manual and your other programs?

A - Yes, and in the workshop it will be covered in more depth. In addition, there is new material in these workshops. If I felt you could get everything possible from manuals, I wouldn't offer live workshops. These workshops are for people who really want to take their business to the next level.

Q - I've attended one of your workshops before, would it be a good idea to attend another one?

A - It certainly wouldn't hurt. There is infinite depth in this material. You will hear and learn new things if you attend again.

Q - What exactly do you mean by skill building vs. information?

A - Here's an example - Information about developing a marketing message would include certain ideas and distinctions about good marketing messages. But with skill building you'd actually construct your message based on certain principles. The hands-on experience of actually creating a message will stick a whole lot longer than mere information.

Q - Are these workshops only for Independent Professionals? What if I belong to a larger firm or sell for a business or corporation?

A - These workshops are for people who offer professional services of all kinds. The majority of people who attend are self-employed professionals. But owners or "rainmakers" of consulting, accounting, law firms etc. will also benefit from the workshop. If you are a salesperson in a larger company, selling services, this workshop will also help you attract more business. Even non-profits who offer services to the community will benefit.

The workshop is not for companies who sell consumer products, retail, restaurants, etc.

Q - Will you be conducting the workshops by yourself?

A - I will be conducting all the sessions in the workshops and I will be assisted by one or more of my Action Plan Marketing Coaches. The coaches will answer questions, and assist you during exercises. In some cases they may conduct portions of the workshop.

Q - What are Marketing Hot Seats?

A - Marketing Hot Seats are an opportunity to work in laser-like fashion on a marketing issue you have. In sessions of ten to twenty minutes we'll help you get clear on your marketing message, determine the best marketing strategies for you or help you get past some resistance or fear of marketing. Hot seats will be conducted after the regular workshop schedule and will go from 7:30 p.m. to 10 p.m. You are welcome to stay late and attend the Hot Seats or you may leave at 7 p.m.

Q - Will lunch be offered at the workshop?

A - No, lunch will be on your own. There will usually be a restaurant in the hotel or nearby. You will meet with fellow participants during the lunch break.
